Meet Our Founder
Veronica Chail-Gupta, M.A.
Veronica is an award-winning Canadian journalist and former journalism professor turned communications strategist. She launched VC Strategies to help entrepreneurs, industry leaders, brands and non-profit organizations share their stories. She is a leading expert in organizational storytelling, strategic communications and media coaching.
Veronica has more than 15 years of experience working in the Canadian media industry. She is an unflappable and tenacious storyteller with a solid editorial and broadcast foundation.
Veronica moved to Toronto after completing her undergraduate degree in English and Political Science and her Masters degree in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario. She got her start in journalism as a news reporter and news writer for OMNI Television. She covered multicultural and multilingual stories and ensured different voices were represented, specifically those from ethnocultural groups and people who are Black, Indigenous and racialized.
Veronica transitioned to work as a TV producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) for the iconic talk show The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos. In this role, she produced interviews with the who’s who of the global scene, Hollywood legends, world leaders and respected thinkers.
Fast forward a couple years and Veronica was back in front of the camera as the host and producer of Canada's leading Bollywood TV Series Bollywood Blvd., which broadcasted nationally on OMNI Television and Citytv. She interviewed Bollywood's biggest stars and gave audiences a front row seat to Indian cinema and entertainment.
After 5 seasons with the celebrated show, Veronica became a professor. She taught journalism, storytelling, media and communications courses at Seneca College and Ryerson University while forming her own company VC Strategies.
Veronica knows the power of story. Her illustrious career taught her that stories are the human currency of contact, connection and relationships. Her signature blend of education, entertainment and social conscience is weaved in with her undeniable creativity, stamina and grit.
Veronica is a strong advocate for human rights initiatives and social issues. She serves on the Board of Directors for [free-them] and is dedicated to anti-human trafficking work.
